THE WEST COAST SECRET

MAG BAY

Mag Bay is located 124 miles north of Cabo San Lucas and is one of the most remote fishing areas Baja has to offer. Mardiosa cruises this region for offshore fishing in the fall - October thru December. During this time of year, you have the chance to catch and release over 30 to 100 stripe marlin a day YES, A DAY!!! But with all that excitement, don’t forget about all the other catches in the mix: tuna, wahoo, and dorado. Mag bay offers protection at anchorage every night. It also has an amazing inshore mangrove fishery with snook, corvina, snapper and grouper. During mid-winter you will find grey whales inside the lagoons with their calves, conditioning them for the long journey back to Alaska for the summer.

Fishing the cabo region is truly a sportsman's paradise with multiple species year round to keep the rod bent. During the summer months you will find Blue and Black marlin, Tuna , Dorado, Wahoo and many other species. As the fall settles in, the fishing heats up off the Baja pacific coast especially the area of Mag Bay. Mag bay is approximately 200 miles up the pacific and has very little pressure from the popular cabo fleet. With two beautiful bays to anchor up every night after a long day of fishing this makes Mag bay a special spot to visit.
